Signature DrinkSignature Drinks are popular amongst restaurants and
bars. The head bartender creates a drink so fabulous that you will want
to come back for it, as you can’t get it anywhere else. It has
even become fashionable to offer ‘Signature Drinks’ at special
events, like weddings.
Recently I was at Lola’s Martini Bar for the Jestress's birthday toast and they had a martini on their menu that I could not order as they were out of Krupnik, a honey vodka. The thought of it has stayed with me. Finally, yesterday, I made my own version. I liked it so much… I have decided it is my ‘Signature Drink’. For the moment at least. Hmmm… I shall call it… I don’t know what to call it. Here’s the recipe… Use your tasting finger. Vanilla
Vodka [only Stolichnaya] Pour some honey into the vodka. It takes a while to dissolve, stir now and then, be patient. Taste and adjust accordingly. Personally, I don’t like it too sweet. It should be a nice balance between the vanilla and honey flavors. Re-chill. Sprinkle with black pepper. This adds a nice kick, rounding out the flavors, giving it some sophistication.
