4 Finger Poi

One of the things I have always wanted to do is to learn to swing poi. Fire poi. Glow poi. Fuzzy poi.
"Poi" is the Maori word for a ball on a cord that is swung around the body.
The Maori, natives of New Zealand, use poi in a dance and as co-ordination training for the warriors. I remember learning poi as a kid in grade school in Hawaii, for P.E.!

Since DJ and I have not been going to archery, I thought we could do this activity together. He complained about going, but after the first session, he thought it was way-cool. RadiantSun was also in the class. She turned us onto it.

6 weeks, 10 moves later, we lit up on fire.
